Martyn’s Law or the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025

Martyn’s Law or the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 received Royal Assent on the 9th April 2025, The Government intends for there to be an implementation period of at least 24 months before the Act comes into force. In summary the Act applies to:

• A qualifying PREMISES divided into Standard Tier (200-799 occupancy) or Enhanced Tier (800+ occupancy) premises which are buildings only or a combination of land AND buildings
OR
• A qualifying EVENT where more than 800 people will be present applying to outdoor land or buildings
