If your bin has not been emptied or has been missed as part of our usual collection service you can tell us here.

Just some of the reasons why your bin may not be emptied can include:

• The bin not being out on time

• The Blue recycling bin was contaminated

• The bin lid was not flat (in the closed position)

• The bin was too heavy or unsafe

• There was excess waste that was not collected

When we can’t empty your Blue recycling bin we will sticker/tag it. You can check which items you can and can’t recycle on our Recycling Pages

Please note that checks will be made against the crew reported incidents and the vehicle CCTV may also be used to verify if the collection had taken place. If the crew have reported the bin not being collected for one of the reasons above then the Council will not return to empty the bin. Please refer to the Councils Recycling and Refuse Policy for further details
Your wheelie bin must be out by 6am on the morning of collection.

Our refuse vehicles are equipped with CCTV and may be used to verify your statement.
