The Bassetlaw Veterans Thank You Scheme

As we commemorate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee reign, we are reminded that one of the many enduring elements of her life is her own public service during WWII.

We recognise the debt of gratitude owed to all those who served the country between 1939 and 1945. The ‘Bassetlaw Veterans Thank You’ pays tribute to those who have served in the forces, auxiliary services, and civilian roles.

Who Can Apply?

You can apply for a badge and a scroll of thanks if you or a family member was a World War II veteran from the Bassetlaw region. Veterans' service includes military, auxiliary, WAAF, ARP, Bevin Boy, and Land Army duty, as well as any other important services.
